i agree with the anti-"suay" bar. But anti-roll bar don't help lar cos the plance just simply roll backwards slowly into the soft ground. Also only the right BLG and MLG are in it.

Maybe should have self activating brakes with ABS like those from Volvo.

Nar......... I believe they purposely create this accident to buang suay...... [sly][sly][sly] (Chinese saying ~ "yi too kong too", take poison to fight poison). A small accident is better than a big accident...... or SIA is testing to see if the parts are covered with warranty like our cars, 100,000km or 3 years, whatever comes first... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

the driver and maintenance crea of that tow truck will kena sacked? [laugh][laugh]

Those Crew are already in a deep sxxt, Rice bowl maybe broken. With the ever rising inflation of Living Costs, Do not pour sand into their rice bowl. They are just doing their routine job and nobody wants accident. They also have family to feed.. PERIOD.

Wow, you seem to know a lot of details. Must be working inside?

Anyway, accidental tow bar disconnection has happened a couple of times in the past. But aircraft recovery is an absolute headache. Need air bags, crane etc. Worse if the LG collapsed...

They really defueled the plane? How many tankers did they need?? [sweatdrop]

Read the newspaper today,

A truck which was towing the SIA A380 SQ221 broke down resulting the plane disconnecting from the truck and went onto the grass verge off the airport Tarmac. All 446 passengers were unhurt.

Passengers had to disembark so that the plane could repositioned on the tarmac and checked for damaged. After disembarking, the passengers were taken in a bus back to T3.

SIA made arrangements to enable "as many customers as possible" to continue their journey to Sydney.

This newspaper report is posted in a tiny section, very easy to miss to some people...

T3 juz open and the first A380 got into trouble... What you guys think?

MORE GOOD YEARS AHEAD [hur]

Bridgestone Semi Slicks

test flt to make sure LGs can be stowed safely in flt config.

Maybe should have taken the opp to change the absorbers to Tien instead of sticking back to OEMs

haha not SIAEC.

though they're in the sh*t now, they've to absorb the cost of recovery, and i believe commercial cost too.

this's really an unexpected incident and hope nobody's rice bowl is lost all due to a simple hyd failure of the tug. Though there're still some human error/factor involved that may have added to the cause and prevention too.
