Dearjoshua Neutral Newbie January 17, 2008 Share January 17, 2008 With the new Honda Accord 2008, what would be your choice for a family sedan? My personal favourite is Accord, but at sub-100K price, it lacks keyless entry and the buttons-full interior is a minus. Camry is too common on the road and now also used as a taxi. one plus point is CNG option for JDM model carried by PI. Nissan Cefiro is my last choice due to its poor FC, and ah-pek outlook. ↡ Advertisement
Zerstorer 1st Gear January 17, 2008 Share January 17, 2008 Stretch to 103K and you may consider the Ford Mondeo if you enjoy driving.

Fondue Neutral Newbie January 17, 2008 Share January 17, 2008 Voted for Cefiro .... actually, voted for Cefiro 230JM. For less than the price of 2L honda and camry, you get 1. a smooth 2.3L V6 engine 2. factory fitted leather 3. made in japan 4. 4 airbags As for FC, the differenc should be minimal. I don't know about Accord 2008, but Camry at most give you 0.5km/l more than the Cefiro, and for someone willing to spend close to $100k on a car, the extra cost should be trivil . A friend is getting 11km/l consistently from his 230JM with 80% hwy while I'm getting 9km/l with 60% hwy. Heard the FC for Thai Camry isn't too great either. Prob I Ah-pek already, but I really prefers the look of the Cefiro over the Camry (have not gone to view Accord 2008 yet, but I have NO love for the previous model Accord from Kah). But if you are still young to appreciate the look of the Cefiro, then you are better off getting something else.
Bladerunner 1st Gear January 17, 2008 Share January 17, 2008 (edited) I vote for BM Camry - not use for Taxi, luxury & stylish. The Accord - looks like the Sonata (imo). The Cefiro - old model, new model coming soon. BM Camry with Work rims & Wald Design: Edited January 17, 2008 by Bladerunner
Miles 4th Gear January 18, 2008 Share January 18, 2008 Actually, all 3 cars has its strength and weakness. If only you can combine all these attributes into 1 car. Looks - Camry Engine - Accord Chassis - Cefiro Transmission - Accord Space - Camry/Cefiro FC - all 3 are not that good. Sedate driving will give u 10km/L for Accord/Camry but not Cefiro. Consider something else which give all the attributes of the above yet not so common. E.g. new Mazda6 (akan datang) and Ford Mondeo.
Axela72 5th Gear January 18, 2008 Share January 18, 2008 Why dont replace Cefiro with 2L Shlphy in the above comparasion? It is so much cheaper, newer version and not to mention better FC as compare with Cefiro. Value for money as compare with all the 3 models listed. Latioboy 1st Gear January 18, 2008 Share January 18, 2008 Bro Fondue ! I agree with you! No offence to anyone here. But the 230JM is few K cheaper than THai camry.. Morever, its more luxurious. Leather seats are MADE IN JAPAN. feel of sushi-ness is there.... Made in Japan the whole car.. cheaper than Thai Camry;.. I don't really understand why people choose Borneo Camry.. Well.. One mans' meat is another mans' poison... That's why we are all diff ! =] Bro Fondue, ur FC is 9km/l with 60% highway ? Not bad ah My mom gets 8-8.5 for 10% hway If 100% city, she will get about 7.5 to 8 also.. Ard there.. Depends on her right foot, and mood. Haha.
