Hey all,

my silver picnic is ard 3 years.

just wanna use the original touch up paint to mend lots of ugly scratches.

Have bought the touch up paint from borneo aready... so what should i take note of?

i heard people using sand paper etc...

i'm a total noob in this.

just wondering, if i ever apply a bit too much, how do i wipe it off properly?

my impression is that it'll dry up immediately and leave an even uglier patch.

experts pls advise! thanks! [nod]

Bro, if your scratches are long then forget about using it cos it would only create an uglier scar [nod][nod][nod]

Unless those poker dots type then maybe you try using a tooth pick but need to mask up the surrounding of that poker dot before applying [nod][nod][nod]

Tried this before, really need some skills, and my skills are so-so only. Follow at your own risk. [sweatdrop]

Materials

1. Touch-up paint

2. 1500 grit sandpaper (the higher number the better)

3. Pencil with rubber head

4. Double-side tape

5. Water

6. Toothpick

Steps

1. Prep the surface to be touched-up, make it clean, no wax etc.

2. Apply touch up paint with toothpick onto the surface.

3. Let the paint dry, I left mine for 1 week.

4. Use doublesided tape to stick a small piece of sandpaper on the rubber tip of the pencil.

5. Dip sandpaper in water.

6. Gently sand away the excess paint until it's flush with the original paint.

7. Polish and wax to protect.

Oh..need to buy?

Last time when I drove a Honda. I would ask from the KM bodyshop. they would pour a small vial for me free.

But seriously, if its too many scratches forget it. Let the scars accumalate and spray paint over it one shot.

Sand paper is okay if you know how to use it. If you are handy person then you can try otherwise maybe go better to some workshop for help. Might charge a few dollars but better to pay a bit before it looks worse. Hope everything went well

Can damage the clearcoat if not sanded properly
