There is this chart that shows $2billion tax income for Motor Vehicle Taxes.

$0.9billion tax income for Vehicel Quota premiums.

$2billion tax collections on Customs & excise taxes.(I wonder how many % cames from car excise tax! Anyone can do an estimate based on the number of cars and average OMV?)

 

IF one were to add them up, it seems that car owners alone are contribution >$3billion tax monies to the gov yearly. Amazing!

 

The Irony I am trying to highlight is the same day Straits Time Headline is " HongBao Budget....$1.8 Billion Giveaway"

 

Cars owners.....be proud that the gov have excess of (3-1.8)= $1.2billions of car owners' conribution left over. (To do what? I don't know? Maybe to fund purchase of ERP's gentry!)
