Cracker 1st Gear March 21, 2008 Share March 21, 2008 Which part of Orchard do u intend to go.. ? if u intend to go Taka, Borders or Wisma area....try international building..u will need to drive past Royal Plaza on Scott in order to access it.... it charged $2.14 per entry for weekend or after 5 pm on weekday. For Orchard OG, Plaza Singapura area.....can try the building which is just opp Plaza Singapura..also charged $2.14 per entry on weekend.. Hotel Meridien should be $3 per entry if they havent changed... Can also try Singtel Building, Singapore Power as well as Park Mall...depending where u r going. Damienic 5th Gear March 21, 2008 Share March 21, 2008 Singapore power building is the cheapest. Is one of the rare carparks in orchard which still charge per entry of only $2.14 for the whole of sunday..The Heeren also not bad..their per entry of $3.21 on sat starts at 5pm instead of the normal 6pm by most car parks in orchard. Wanderer Clutched March 21, 2008 Share March 21, 2008 Cine used to be 1 of the cheaper ones around, but they have revised their rates from the start of this year..... Try cairnhill instead. Think it's $3.50 per entry for weekends
Cracker 1st Gear March 21, 2008 Share March 21, 2008 I suggest u check cairnhill parking charges from www.sgcarmart.com. That #3.50 per entry is only valid for weekeday after 5 pm. For sunday and public holiday, different rates apply. My friend paid > $8 when he parked his car there for slightly > 3 hrs on a Saturday.. for saturday, Singtel building is the better choice after 1 pm. the cost is @2.14.. whereas for Singapore Power the per entry is only applicable after 5 pm on saturday but whole day for Sunday and Public holiday. The deciding factor is how far u r willing to walk....if it is just 2 pax, no problem...but with kids or older folks..will have to think twice. Lightbringer 6th Gear March 22, 2008 Share March 22, 2008 Whenever I go orchard, I dislike parking at the shopping malls for 2 reasons : a) The inevitable jam before reaching the carpark b) The inevitable queue to ENTER the frigging carpark c) The inevitable circling around to find a lot and avoiding kayu drivers who anyhow reverse blindly d) The exorbitant parking charges So I always park around the Killney road area... can siam all the stinking ERP? gantries as well which is a huge bonus on weekdays and Sat The downside is the walk to the central Orchard area can be a little far (about 5 mins to the Somerset MRT area or Cineleisure) but bobian, I rather walk for 5 mins or more and save time and $$ than be a sucker, spend 15 mins in jam, spend 30 mins in queue, then PAY to park. And if my date or friends complain, then I will tell them to go take B-M-W instead
