Perrier 1st Gear April 3, 2008 Share April 3, 2008 Quote from PIVOT website, http://pivotjp.com/information/frame-earth-e.html "When wishing to add an earth connection for new type car models which in order to control battery recharging have a "electrical current sensor" connected to the Minus battery terminal do not take the earth directly from the Minus terminal but rather from the earth connection on the body which is taken from the sensor. If earth is taken directly from the Minus terminal recharging control may not work properly and there is a possibility that performance will be adversely effected." Watwheels Supersonic April 30, 2008 Share April 30, 2008 (edited) why ah? Most likely the current will by-pass the sensor through one of the earthing cables. Cos current always take the shortest route. So current will travel which ever cable that has a smaller loop to close the circuit.
