This may sound like a Chinese car bashing but it is not. To me it doesn

I totally agree with you on the perceived quality, when it comes to selling cars.

The problem of OMV is an issue when selling china cars in Singapore.

I would think the local agent is not able to sell in huge amount, if it can then it might convince the china manufacturer to 'artificially' lower down the selling price.

Maybe there is no incentives for them to lower down the OMV, since the number of units for Singapore <1000units is peanuts to what they can sell in their home land!

Yes, put it this way. Only Idiots will buy a China Car at such price

The price versus what it offered is lopsided. Like I said, Caren or Wish or Stream

They offer better value for money. Plus the quality difference is so so much.

What you pay in higher road tax and Fuel for the Crossover can easily offset the higher monthly payment for a wish or stream.

The AD is having a road show at IMM now. Drop down for a shocking experience.

I have heard about the bashing of china car quality. So my mind already prepare for not so good quality.

But to actually see and touch it, it simply worse than expected.

I saw the car when i was ordering my T11. Outlook looks nice but didnt see the interior. Spoke to my SE abt the car and was stunned to hear the price. told him that its too expensive for a china car and also rd tax will be a killer. the response was bad for that car.

It's not just OMV.

I did a comparison.

KM Stream OMV 21K, COE 15.5K - AD profit 7K

Crossover OMV 14.8K COE 17.5K - AD profit 15K

Why so much profit? because they can't move volume?

So if margin same as KM, the crossover still cost about 62K.

I will still get a Caren at that budget

Yah, The T11 is priced more attractively than competitors.

That's will make more buyers bite. It's has that kind of price that make non-biased buyer consider about it

You're right, Vertex must be dreaming if they want to move this model off the floor at this price. Even if they throw in extra side airbags & a LCD monitor in each headrest, and whatever bells & whistles, it'll still be pointless against established players such as the Wish or Stream. The value for money concept just isn't there.

The comparison is like this

Genuine Rolex - $20K

Fake Rolex - $18K but quality like $40 fakes

no point at all getting the fake rolex.

Neutral Newbie

Near where I live, an uncle bought this black V5 Crossover. He drives it proudly everyday. Maybe it's just that you can't appreciate certain plus points?

I quickly made my way out and went to restroom to disinfect my hands from Made in China Cars.

The feeling of looking at Chinese car up close is like waking up with a hangover realizing you have lay with a $20 50 year old Chicken.

lol!!

Looking at the pics frm sgcarmart, its doesn't seem that bad wor.. but i noticed the "Pictures may vary from actual vehicle" as well.

Was there any chance of a test drive? Perhaps the driving experience and road feel could justify the price [:p]

Hi Minz,

Let me reiterate my main points.

Crossover is expensively priced for a poor built China made.

few k more can get established MPV like wish or stream.

that few k more is easily offset by crossover higher road tax and FC.

So at the end of the day, 1 is paying same monthly cost for this 7 seater as a jap.

If it is priced much lower, it might do better.

What plus points is there? Pls elaborate.

Bro, I saw the pics in sgcarmart too, it looked good. read my review again, see the real thing is different.

Need to Test drive? Do you think that a China made at this point in time can have better drive than a jap?

I am hopeful but not disillusional
