Actually has been eyeing this GPS for a while now..

Fyi, the first 20 customers per day can get it at $399.

This is an great discount, think it was selling at $499 during ITshow 2008.

Attracted to it due to mapking SLA Sing & Malaysia maps inclusive and free update on bi-monthly basis.. [:)]

Does not come with USB cable for Garmin to PC connection.

Lucky i have a cable & register On-Line for future update & Garmin news.

Maps is built-in & update thru Internet is available.

But don't know how long the update last.

However being BRAND-NEW i didn't try but i do downloaded a few funny ICONS into my Garmin.

Simple & Easy to use come in multiple Lingo...Japanese, Taiwanese, English, Malay & some dialect-Chinese.

Just gotten mine yesterday. So far, find that it is quite a basic GPS system.

The pros:

1. Locking in to satelites was pretty fast... less than 10 seconds for me!

2. Comes with the latest Spore/Msia map(Version 10 June 2008)

3. Quite bright in both day and night

4. Very cheap. ($299)

The cons:

1. You cannot key in your own coordinates to find POI I think.. can only key in addresses. Map software is AGIS, not Garmin or Mapking. At least for Garmin you can find support on malsingmaps.com.

2. Volume not really loud in my opinion. My old 6110 navigator is much louder.

3. Oh yes, support is very poor. Went to the website and realize that they don't really provide much updates or support for users. Not even sure if new map updates are free or not. Updated maps appeared to be sold at quite expensive prices. For example, Malaysia/Singapore map is beinged offered at USD$99 now.

4. Certain newer places, although the map is very new, is still not in the database. For example, I can't find Hotel Piccolo(besides KL Plaza) although the totel has already been around for a few months.
