Thailand: (Updated) Driving Trip to Phuket/Krabi

Hi All,

 

This is the updated post as slight change of plans. We will be heading up to Phuket than Krabi max.

 

Here is the tentative schedule.

 

From Dec 20 2008 onwards. Come back by end year.

 

Day 1 - Drive to KL, R&R, Lunch and abit of Shopping. Drive to Penang stay one night.

Day 2 - Penang R&R, then set off to Hatyai. Reach Hatyai then head to Phuket. 3 Days 2 nights.

Day 4 - Set off to Krabi, 4 Days 3 nights in Krabi.

Day 7 - Set off to Hatyai, then Penang (or maybe can try Ipoh) Rest for 1 night

Day 8 - Head to KL, Rest 1 night

Day 9 - Head back Singapore !

 

The above is just a guideline, when all the participants are confirmed, we can meet up and discuss the above. Basically its about 8 - 10 days, some are joining only for half the time.

 

If there are enough cars, I will approach AA Spore or Tourism Thailand for escort purpose or something. We can even hire security guard to guard cars at the resort. Won't be expensive if all chip in few dollars.

Please do not use this thread for your own trip or post un-related comments. It gets a bit confusing trying to look for who is interested and who is not and take note of the dates as well.

 

This thread is only for trip between 20 Dec onwards to 31 Dec (not confirmed but between these dates).

I been to Samui and imo, there is not much to see there. How about driving further up to Bkk and Pattaya?

Haven't put a date to it yet and haven't even driven up north before. Was thinking that this trip would be a good experience for me to tag along with the others.

 

Maybe after this, we can plan on going further up in/than Thailand

try before drive to bkk n pattaya... is quite shiok.. but when wan drive back than will know wat is die.... veri tired..cau too far...

Yup........... though it's only a 2-hr drive, the expressway seems never-ending.... cos we were all shacked out from the games there liao
