Walterkoh Neutral Newbie October 15, 2008 Share October 15, 2008 actually i feel the gahmen suck so much money, transfer fees???? by printing an updated ownership of vehicle, they can charge up to thousands of dollars!!! wat is market value? how they determine? whose market value? then might as well do it the fairest way, base on OMV of the vehicle, every year 10% depreciation. when we pre-maturely scrap/export our cars, they also rebate us base on the OMV!!! e.g. the new toyota corolla altis, OMV of say $17,000. at 3 years old, the transfer fee should be $238 only, (3 years depreciation of $17k is $5,100, thus 2% base on remaining $11,900 of the OMV), then y must charge nearly $1k? y must include $10???? all blood sucking acts!!! its time they wake up can change the rules!!!! Ody_2004 Turbocharged October 16, 2008 Share October 16, 2008 They are trying to curb speculator in the market. If no transfer fee people will buy low and sell high to the next buyer. So with large amt of transfer fee this practise somehow under control.

Ody_2004 Turbocharged November 17, 2008 Share November 17, 2008 I believe they need to factor in the COE price differences. Meaning the COE for this car and the current COE price. ↡ Advertisement
