Date is set, now trying to book the cheapest (online) price for Pyramid Towers Hotel.

Anyone planing for this trip during this time, can go together.

There'll be 2 cars at the moment, my Korean 2tonner 8seater and a FD Civic (my sis & bro-inlaw).

Leaving SG around 8am and will be using 2nd Link, hope to reach there by/before 3pm.

I'm looking at Sunway too. The Sunway hotel is pretty expensive, wonder it is really worth the bucks or not? Moreover can't be there 2 consecutive days mah. I'm of the thought to get a hotel near KLCC then drive there, approximately 20 minutes away based on Sunway website information.

Sunway itself is quite ex, we will be staying at Pyramid Towers Hotel for 2nights and its about S$360 in total, however only breakfast for 2 adults, the eldest kid may have to pay for it.

Hi Vtim,

Though you stay at Sunway (2N1D), not forgetting that the price you pay would probably include the entrance/some rides in sunway lagoon for a day.

Staying in town area (KLCC, Bukit Bintang) is good as it give you the option to do something for the night, i.e. shopping, nice food, clubbing. Though the estimate journey is 20 minutes (from KLCC), do cater extra 30 minutes for jam on federal highway.

The othe alternative maybe staying in Subang Jaya. You may like to consider Holiday Villa (around RM230.00 per night).

Bon voyage.

Sunway too ex, Pyramid Towers Hotel is walking distance to Sunway and cheaper, my kids will need to rest after the morning fun there, so Pyramid is better and afternoon can go back again. The price we paid (S$360 for 3D2N stay) do not include entrance to Sunway Lagoon, can book on their website, much cheaper, IIRC its RM48 for adult and RM36 for kids.

I usually go for 4 stars to 5 stars at S$100 or slightly more per night. Have free breakfast or not is secondary as the kids usually can't wake up early when on holidays trip [:/]. Of course, having free internet access is certainly a plus point [thumbsup].

I now have 3 cars going up, mine Trajet (2A+2C), bro-in-law's FD Civic (2A+2C) & my friend's MKI FL Focus (2A+2C).

I will be going up earlier. My concern would be the recent wet weather. Not the road condition but whether the kids are going to have ample fun if it rains? You buying online ticket? heard its cheaper than to buy them at door.

I will be putting up in KL hotel and drive to Sunway. Probably spend a day in Sunway and the rest shopping in KL, go up to Genting then enroute to Melaka.

that's true, I'm worried about the weather also, hopefully it won't rain sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

How much were the tickets at the doors??

Online with discount are RM48 for adult and RM36 for kid

Due to timing issue, it seems like I've to ply the NSH at night, something I've been trying to avoid and had only done once a few years ago. I've driven on small lanes and deserted roads late at night but thats within town areas.

I don't intend to stop at R&R at all and will hit all the way from SG to KL. I don't feel safe with any R&R during late night [sweatdrop].

I've done NSH at night on cars for a few occations and slightly more when I still have my Harley Davidson. The bigger R & R is quite ok, especially Pagoh as it almost the half way mark to K.L., so it's much busy and lots of people nod.gifnod.gifnod.gif The other one will be Ayer Keroh Overhead Bridge Restaurant smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

aiyah, my initial plan is to go up on 19 and back on 21 but my bro-in-law have some personal things to attend on 21st, else we can join your 3cars for the trip up, of course our ride can only max out at around 190km/h, cannot catch up with your 200+km/h sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

Do not stop at those small R&R at night....if you really have to let go....stop by the road side is safer than stopping in those small R&R....

Go to those that have a food centre, petrol kiosk etc....where traffic is heavier.

Heard from my lorry drivers than those R&R are used by drug junkies at nite as their meetup point.

I think one full tank can reach KL from SG, so don't think need to stop anywhere. Asked the kids to empty their bladders and prepare plastic bags.
