I think better word to describe the environment for Da Dong is fusion..

Very modern, not like a traditional Chinese restaurant style.

And they serve a lot of wine....instead of China Chinese restaurant 白酒 or 黄酒.

Their cuisine is fusion style, it's quite ex, a meal for 3 can be around s$300+ incl. wine

The 1 at 工體北路is more fusion.

Should try their original store at 團結湖。

So the one I go must be at 工體北路.

Don't order wine in China Chinese Restaurant.  Sure kenna ketuk 1.

Wine is cheap here.  My regular Chillean wine in Singapore cost me SGD 30.  Over here, it is around RMB 40.

RMB40 not cheaper meh? But I rather not buy wine in China, a lot of relabelled ones. Go Beijing drink baiju better, but don't pick too branded ones also a lot of fake.

No baiju for me.  It taste like Methanol.

If afraid everything is fake one, might as well pack up & leave.

After the Forbidden City, we went to Temple of Heaven.   This place was quite large and we didn't see all of the sights, though we saw the most famous one - Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.  There was also a circular mound altar and some Imperial Vault.

After all that walking, it was time for lunch.  Our driver recommended this place called the Brown Door.  He said he had tried the food and it was decent and reasonably priced.  He was right.   What surprised me was the sheer number of foreigners eating.  Maybe this was some type of tourist trap, I don't know, but we paid about 100RMB for the food we ate, which was still ok.

Our last stop for the day was the Summer Palace.  Goodness, this place was huge.  Plenty of walking to do.  We were getting a bit tired, but we soldiered on.  Plenty of domestic tourists.

After a day full of walking, it was time to head back to the hotel to rest.  On the way back, I was doing car watching again. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus - you name it, I've seen it all on Beijing Roads.

Back at the hotel, we headed to the 24F Executive Lounge to chill, and since they were about to serve dinner we decided to wait for dinner.  Tonight, there was won-ton soup and I had 2 servings.  Definitely enough food to settle our dinner here, plus all that wine.

End of Day 3 of our trip.  The next 2 days would be less tiring.  Time to chill more.
