2) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uveitis
Yearly visit to specialist in National Eye Centre

3) http://en.wikipedia....ing_spondylitis
Three mthly visit to specialist in SGH

4) http://en.wikipedia...._bowel_syndrome
Open date appt given by specialist in TTSH

And just last week was diagnose with :

5) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosacea
Saw specialist in SGH

How can I lower my medical bills??? Currently paying subsides rate of S$25 for consultation for seeing the different specialist. Each visit to SGH, spent S$100+. Every time ask me go for blood test, x-ray, bone density scanning and trying different expensive medicine.

Any insurance company out there willing to cover me??? Willing to pay a small premium mthly to cover all my existing medical expenses. Currently it is being paid by my company lah but when I resign/terminated/retrench/retire, I still need to see these specialist for treatment. And not sure wat next illness will come and find me.

i'm not medically trained or experienced but some of these seem to be aggravated by diet. maybe u could minimised symptoms by doing more research into this. avoid certain foods, and see what supplements can help

wish u all the best and good health.

ok, my take,

1) IBS - it can be treated.

2) Is it because of the food you took? That's one area to look it for your inflamation symtoms.

3) Bone density - you can try to take calcium pills, but consult with doctor for proper opinion. Also, can try take collogean, but note need to take long term to see the effect.

The main thing is to get it under control and look for ways to treat it.

The IBS is linked to Urticaria.

Yes, I have food allegy. I cannot eat chicken meat. If eaten, will have rashes and IBS. Once in a long while I still do eat chicken but after that must pop pills to prevent the attack.

In fact, from the x-ray taken, there is too much calcium deposited in my back bones causing it to be rounder in shape rather than square. No cure at all, only daily stretching and medication lessen the pain.

I am positive. I just need help in paying the bills when I can no longer work in the future. Not sure how much my savings will last me. SG medical cost is really scary esp when I have to visit different specialists.

Is there any all-in-one specialist???

ermm..

ok, that's a chicken and egg issue.

but the essentially thing is to stay positive and with stay with the treatment.

well, too much calcium isn't a good thing.

you might want to try pilate excercise. it does help with problems like yours.

Do you have "aftermarket" health shield insurance policies? Aftermarket I mean, other than Medishield.... Paiseh, I think too much about poison already.

If you got MyShield or AIA Health Shield, it would be very good.

Buy medicine from JB. The cost of illness is from medicine. Consults don't factor much.

Now seeking wif my Pru agent fren to see if they willing to accept me. sweatdrop.gif

I'll return to cheaper medicine. Next visit gona tell her that.

But with medicine, the specialist warned me, my dosage needs to increase as time goes on. Coz my body will build up an immu system to the medicine I take. sweatdrop.gif

It is very difficult to get cover once you have been diagnosed.

If they accept you, either they will be a lot of loadings, ie higher premium or they will be a lot of exclusions.

TS, sorry to tell you this but what your situation is not favourable for insurance coverage. You buy insurance BEFORE the onset of any medical problems and not buy insurance to pay for your medical bills. Should you buy insurance now, ALL your existing symptoms will NOT be covered. It will only insure you for FUTURE illness which is not affecting you NOW.

I knew already. The existing policies I have cover only the major illnesses, disability and death. My all these illnesses are not major so no claim at all. bigcry.gif

So now I dare not cancel any of my insurance policy cos I cannot apply for another one anymore. knife.gif

Sorry to hear dat bro but take care. Wat is the main cause of all those illnesses? I see u hv ankylosing spondylitis & uveitis. I'm in the same situation as well. Blood test, daily maintenance medication, etc. But I have the HLBA 27 deficiency done through blood test. I was told its inherited. Nothing very much you can do but take drug to control/maintain the situation. I dun noe abt insurance but am covered with premium loaded abit not no daily medication & consultation those kind of stuff.
