Neutral Newbie

any bro have install those spring stiffener that claim to pro-long the life span of original spring and at same time offer stiffer ride.

years ago, one mechanic ever advised me not to add on anything to the original spring as it will affect the braking reaction the car and at same time the safety handling.

have called to enquire - for suv - it is not cheap - will probably cost 240 dollars for 4 pieces of rubber...

Been using this for 1.5 yrs now and second time change due to fix this by our local car service centre that fix wrong size for my ride..

This stiffener must be the correct size as the size varies for different springs from A to F.. this things are for ppl like me NOT that of the rich type..as good coilovers do come with ex price, quality and with adjustable dampers so as you can suit your desire riding comfort..this stiffener only serve part of the purpose .. it also comes from the technology use in heavy vehicle..so as for those carrying heavy loads..

Cheers.. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Been using this for more than 2 years now.

most importantly, it provides extra impact cushioning for the suspension... especially those sudden hump that are higher than expected or poorly design hump...

It help to stiffen the car without compromising comfort. It's not just rubber .. it's actually steel belted and coated with the rubber.

Sure dun waste money on this.. for me.. I save in changing my suspension... it's been 4.5 years.. still using stock suspension and car as stable as day 1.. and I negotiate 90 degrees bends hard every single day and drive through don't know how many humps each day at normal speed ( not slowing down ).

just to share my experience...

May I ask whether you are using the one shown in the pics or the red colored one?

Sorry about that. It is not an advertisement but a user review on the spring stiffener. Wanted to show that these stuff were also used by satisfied Lexus drivers. Thanks for the pricing information.

I thought black color is better, red or yellow are just too loud.

I am using a pair in front actually. Forgotten the name of it, but I installed them at Autobacs for $80. Bright red in colour. It was a waste of money. Initially it does lift up the height of the car but as time passes, it sags and now it is as if I didn't put any stiffener. A stiffener would be lasting if they are of durable hard material otherwise, with the frequent compression and expansion of the coil spring, the stiffener would have worn out and render them useless.

What was the lifespan of your stiffener (how long does it take for you to realize a dip performance)? Thanks.
