But I will try to throw the light to wall to see like what you mention, see any colour change. Thanks a lot:) Or I should open bonnet to take out a buld to see wether is HID or H4 bulb. Shawyz Neutral Newbie June 21, 2009 Share June 21, 2009 hey bro, jus take a look at the bulb from the car headlight area. if the bulb is with a metal rod just below the wall of the bulb glass, then its a HID. if without, then its a normal halogen. thats the physical difference by jus looking at the bulb. cheers Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If it's white, then it should be HID Not very reliable cos factory HID's are 4300k, which look yellowish in isolation. Best way is to look at the bulb.
