I think what he means is that he wants to use a kahshare vehicle but he doesnt want to sign up for membership cos will incur joining fee, deposit, monthly fee etc so he wants to use someone's membership and just use the vehicle for that one time, on someone else's membership.

believe its something along that drift.

Is it really better than a taxi? Perhaps it's cheaper then taxi.

 

Perhaps good for a guy to bring a date out. Save on hotel costs.

 

I don't think it's convenient unless the cars are parked very near to your home/office.

This KAHshare already merge with another carsharing which called carclub. I find car sharing not bad if the cars are parked near your house, it is much more convenience than car rental since you can choose to rent the car as short as 1 hour.
