IMHO hybrids are a bit overrated, not really worth the price if the intention is fuel saving, more of making a statement on saving the earth i guess

That said are there any hybrid owners here who would like to share their mileage?

u try compete ur allion against hybrid in pure city (CBD) driving.

use hybrids like insight or prius.

then u'll know the power of hybrids

Usually travel about 300-350km. [sweatdrop]

I am using Caltex Platinum [thumbsup] and pump twice a week. [flowerface]

older cars like your concerto are very light compared to modern cars. smaller rims (usually, unless upsize). u see a trend of modern cars coming with bigger rims, heavier and stronger bodies, more features. so even with better engine technology, the FC did not improve all tt much over the years. add to that the emissions requirement. sometimes, FC is sacrificed for emissions. if run ultra lean burn, FC will be good, but certain emissions such as NOx will increase too.

anyway, all my rides gave me decent range. kangoo 900km, getz 650km, combo is 750km. but 1st n 3rd is diesel, 2nd is 1.1 liter with 45 liter tank. so the range is good. [flowerface]

also, i always make it a point to pump to the brim. i get a few more km to run, and it makes it easier to calculate FC. i want to pump fuel as infrequently as possible. a trip to the kiosk is also fuel burnt away

My 1.1M Getz do about 600km for a 42 litre tank. Pump when fuel light come on which is about 35l.

it's 45 liter tank. but u can squeeze in more than that if u pump to the brim [sly] [sly]
