been there done that @ Lotus Resort.

remember to drive to fruit farm and eat lobsters (about 45mins drive, forgotten the road name) which is considered as very cheap comparing to SG. but you can eat much cheaper lobsters in yangon, myanmar.

Let's hope there are more promising resorts & infrastructure there. Currently, it's not very attractive. The only plus point is the beach.

 

That aside, heard from a M'sian that the Johor Sultan likes to visit that area. Maybe that may speed things up a bit.

I never ate at Jade Garden before. Couldn't find that restaurant at all, so end up ate Straits View Seafood Restaurant instead.

 

Jade just shifted to another premises some 10 days ago.

It is now in a new spanking building. Their name is on top of the building..and the location is actually near Straits View, but is by the seaside.

As they shifted, they have put up banners to the new place.

 

Imo,quite difficult to miss it.

 

And..the new place they keep their lobsters in really big tanks..and clean too.

Not murky like last time.. and their lobsters taste fresh too :-)

 

Also.. now air conditioned. Definitely one up vs their competitors.

ya.. the auntie (i think it's the boss.. cos she never wear uniform like the rest) told us too.

cos of the banquet they shifted earlier.

 

one thing.. this place is getting expensive.. if i don't recall wrongly, the last time i came their lobster a few years ago was rm130 or 140/kg. now it's rm160. their red fish is $80/kg.

previously i was here all 3 meals for 2 days... but this time only 2 meals for 3 days.

 

i'll probably try some other places next time.

Nice family trip. Was nice till I got JAM at woodlands causeway. 100% detailed check.

Cleared JB and causeway in 7 min. Woodlands - 1 hr 35 min.

10.30pm till 12 plus.

IMO, I think Jade Garden has more of a restaurant feel. The way they cook and present their food....

 

Xing Kong gives you the "Jia Xiang" kind of feel. Food wise is not bad too.
