Dleodleo Twincharged June 29, 2015 Share June 29, 2015 Bro - not possible leh. From Tebrau to Desaru, it's still about 70km. For 35min, that's still an average speed of 120km/h. No way you could've been travelling max 110 (let alone 70), haha. Don't worry, here no Malaysia mata, can speak freely. Actually, on the way back, I went by an alternative route to Tebra (the Autobacs) to buy some engine oil. After Tebrau, easier to come back by Woodlands. Really, very fast. We left Tesco tebrau at 1.40pm and I managed to check in at around 2.18pm. We didn't speed cos scare summon whahaahahahaha. Some road got speed limit 110 and some 70. Not much car. come back even faster, from Lotus to Custom only 55 mins but jam at custom for 1hr. Then reach singapore jam another 1hr. total jam 2 hours at both customs. ↡ Advertisement

Extremme 4th Gear August 11, 2015 Share August 11, 2015 I always go either lotus or pulai for staycation but I think they are pretty rundown already. Any other good resorts besides these 2 especially for family with kids. Will be good if they have some small theme Parks

TVT Supercharged August 13, 2015 Share August 13, 2015 any idea wat is the best way to reach bukit gambang There are a few ways, all has its pros n cons: 1) via NSH > exit Yong Peng take road 1 to Segamat > turn into road 12 (tolls payable for NSH stretch) 2) via costal road 3 (thru Kota Tinggi/Mersing) > join to road 63 (to Maudzam Shah) > turn into road 12 (no tolls but all B roads) 3) via costal road 3 (thru Kota Tiggi/Mersing) to Pekan > turn into road 2 (no tolls but all B road) - long route but scenic at around Pekan 3) via NSH to KL and join into E8 (aka Karak Highway) - long route with tolls but all highway driving.

Extremme 4th Gear November 12, 2015 Share November 12, 2015 oT: guys is there any place near Pulai Desaru Resort where I can buy a birthday cake?
TVT Supercharged November 12, 2015 Share November 12, 2015 oT: guys is there any place near Pulai Desaru Resort where I can buy a birthday cake? There are some shops on road 90 (5 mins drive after turn left from Petronas station) but I am not sure if there's a cake shop among them or not. This is the same road which will lead to Pulai or Lotus. If not, then you can try the Bandar Penawar township nearby which should have some shops as well.
Extremme 4th Gear November 12, 2015 Share November 12, 2015 Thks all. I was told there is a bakery at Desaru Utama small town. Is that the one TVT mentioned?
Ftco 2nd Gear November 12, 2015 Share November 12, 2015 Thks all. I was told there is a bakery at Desaru Utama small town. Is that the one TVT mentioned? I would either buy here or in JB on the way there. The shops in Desaru are few and sleepy. Don't even recall seeing a bakery.
Dleodleo Twincharged November 13, 2015 Share November 13, 2015 I think I saw a bakery in desaru in June - those rows of shop houses along the way to Desaru Resort. But no people one and wonder the cakes are nice or fresh. Or even close down. Better dun take the risk. Why not order from hotel if it is inconvenient to buy at Tebrau? BTW, shops in Tebrau Aenon shopping mall are only opened after 10.am. The shopping mall entrance are only opened at 10am or 10.30am..
Shorty Turbocharged November 13, 2015 Share November 13, 2015 there is a bakery at the row of shops mentioned above. but really normal cakes...suitable only if last min or urgent purchase. my bro in law bought 1 cos didnt plan to buy earlier. if u hv the time n can carry the cake properly, then better to buy when u r at jb town. Solar Turbocharged November 14, 2015 Share November 14, 2015 oT: guys is there any place near Pulai Desaru Resort where I can buy a birthday cake? Lotus Desaru cafeteria itself sells, though it might be already cut-up into slices for sale. The other time they got promo 1 slice get 1 slice free, I got a few for my girl as birthday dessert :-)
Extremme 4th Gear November 15, 2015 Share November 15, 2015 A quick search found this : https://www.facebook.com/Pistachio-Bakery-562697600467244/timeline It may not be there anymore though, you should call to check. Pistachio Bakery November 7, 2014 · Lovely evening guys! We have complete ingredients supply in store for your pastries making and related equipments. Please do drop by yeh! Please call us at 012 715 5252 should you have any queries. Thank you and see you there! heart emoticon I just came back and I bought from Pistachio Bakery. Service is good , cake is tasty and price is cheap. There is another cafe - Farel & Co that sells coffee and rainbow cake. The small town (where the $2 shop) is, is getting crowded with more shops. KFC is now opened there too. :)
