Depends on what you mean by unknown.

The following places are pretty quiet:

Sembawang Park

Kranji (deep past the Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve)

Labrador Park

But you are right. Singapore is too small and there really isn't that many places to go.

Supercharged

drive up to far North or do a fly & drive trip.

Spore really lose out in terms of places of interest especially of a natural or scenic environment.

Share the same sentiments as you.

End up my wife and I took promotional package and we flew to Penang over the weekend for a change of environment....

Alternatively, we took ferry to Batam over the weekend and enjoy the spa at the resort. Went to Nagoya Hill and Batam Centre to shop shop also.

Well it depends on your interests..

Like one of the post in MCF, about flying kite..its an activity suitable for both young and old, married or single.

If u are an outdoor person, can go for Tree top walk at Macritchie..visit Sungei Buloh nature park or the Southern Ridges.

Omni-theatre also not bad, I frequent that place. [:)]

Just get out of this country. Simple.

When it ccomes to beaches, I'll go to Desaru anytime.

I remember back in the old days, going to Changi seems to take forever in my dad's car. Like it is from another country. But it was not as crowded in the 70s.

I now relive those old days with my girls. Drive to Desaru. they complain it is long but they are happy when they got a nice beach.

Book a pair of ticket to U.K or France, & rent a car (20 euro?) for a week or so & travel to the countryside if you are the romantic, nostalgic type. preferably in the Mid Autumn, where it is most beautiful, cool & low risk of icy road & snow.

By the way, I am not joking. It is certainly not cheap, but from personal experiences, well worth it, more so than rent a ferreri in Singapore & stuck in jam here. If you want, you can drive Ferrari F360 at Silverstone (about 200 pounds) for a good 7-8 laps at selected dates.

But then again, after that, you may find driving in Singapore even more dull when you return....

Have. The famous 99 bends...... It will keep you occupied for a long long time. Try to take the corners at 80 or more.
