at the end of the day, still must buy their capsules ....... unless the machine is free

coffee drinkers should have the freedom to use / try any coffee beans in any blend instead of locked in to Nestle

seriously....

The Nespresso Company commercialises both the machines and the capsules; the capsules can only be bought in Nespresso stores, called "Nespresso boutiques", via mail-order or the company website, while the machines are under restrictive licence.

bro, no way to change to other makers of coffeebeans....

While coffee is increasingly sold through fair trade markets, Nespresso does not propose buying coffee from this sector. The concept of Nespresso does not allow the customer to purchase coffee from any source other than Nestl

I am a supporter of open source. From software to hardware.

Now Apple CCB sue Android for copying. I think they are scared that this is open source. Sibeh luan but a lot of great ideas instead of being controlled by Apple.

I won't be surprised if Nestle sues the makers of Martello. Illy who made the ESE doesn't even care. The ESE is so common. It is all the more important to them that people drink coffee instead just their coffee.

Highland is crap, (personal opinion) and the course expensive and the two brothers,

arrogant as hell, the way they talk, it's as if coffee originated from THEM.

One day course in what? Coffee roasting, appreciation? Next thing is you end up

buying this and that from them.

One day course at Highlander only lah.

No need to trouble you.

I don't know which course you wanna go, but here's the link

If want to LEARN more about coffee, there are so many online sites to read up and learn instead of paying

someone to teach you what you can find out online from other coffee gurus. Latte art is rather simple to do,

and so are different drinks, end of the day, you got to have one thing when you make coffee, "PASSION".

And I'm not joking. If you don't have passion, what machine, how expensive, your drink will still taste

like soiled toilet water.

Also forgot to add, why have someone (teaching you) talk to you like a piece of crap, and you're PAYING him

to teach you. My friend paid the price, ended much wiser. Came my place and I thought him what he needed to know.

Sharing is the best way to learn.

Runs on 120V, need a step down transformer, no more then $35-40 bucks.

Still far cheaper then buying local. Exactly what I did with my espresso machine,

roaster and grinder, all bought overseas, 240V plus shipping, still save 30-40%.

Too amazing to be at a price of USD$199... heard it cost over SGD1000.

3 times the price just for warranty? Besides, such machines,

fault is normally electrical, a home appliance electrician can fix it

without any problem.

See here.

and here

[laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

buy overseas but no local warranty...
