Why is public roads closed this Sunday 14-Mar-10 for celebrating an event that has nothing to do with Singapore?

Don't understand how the authorities here permit this kind of event to happen.

this is an annual event and the traffic is very light on Sunday. No issue in blocking the road.

why dont they close road for China National Day Walk, India National Day Walk and maybe Makati Day Walk too?

Just don't drive there loh....Anyway, with all the craze going on at Suntec and City Hall, this weekend seems to be more convenient for public transport than driving/parking which can be a nightmare at times....
