Damienic 5th Gear March 26, 2010 Share March 26, 2010 It is nice but find too excessively expensive for the kind of portion they serving. $3.50 size is damn small and $4.50 is already like more ex than some foodcourt wanton noodle which is much higher in rental. I also had the impression they purposely allowed a long queue to form (even though they could have fulfilled the orders earlier) which was perhaps to create a positive image about the quality of their food. The taste is good but wait is too long and price too ex which means from a 8.5/10 rating I have reduced it to 7/10. I understand good food comes at a price but it is way overpriced. I have tasted other wanton noodle which is as good and at $3.50 for similar portion to Kok Kee's $4.50.

I once asked them why theirs cost more....they told me they only use premium char siew....quite true as no fats at all....but then again....good things are never cheap...well as long as it's not S$10 per plate...I think it's still not too rich for my blood....for the time being... Donut Supercharged April 2, 2010 Share April 2, 2010 really honestly, i dun find them damm good..... first of all, i dun believe in spending too much time to queue for food. waste of time... u spend more time to queue more than u spend time eating it......... is it really worth? secondly, i like more of the black sauce type of wanton noodle.... thirdly, its too expensive.... 3.50, but its so little.... 4.50 is still not much.... a big eater can easily eat 2 plates
Damienic 5th Gear April 2, 2010 Share April 2, 2010 I think the famous wanton noodle at clementi central hawker centre which was once featured on one of the channel 8 foodies program is at least as good, if not better. The wait is also very long but you dun have to stand there to queue and they will send it to you. less expensive also.

Damienic 5th Gear April 4, 2010 Share April 4, 2010 (edited) what is the avg queueing time for weekends lunch time btw? last time I used to work near there and the usual queueing time during lunchtime weekdays at their stall is like 15 mins. is considered very lucky if happened to queue for only 10 mins. just wondering if weekends queue might be shorter? Seriously...it's 5 to 10 mins wait on average...only extreme cases like long queues with lot's of takeaways then stretch to 15 mins.....and fyi operation hrs if I'm not wrong is 12.30pm to 3.00am Closed on either wed or thurs
