Hi All,

 

Created a simple excel that helps to calculate the

Break Even period of buying new car

Value of Selling your Old Car with 78 Rule

Estimation of Old Car Value from 2nd Market

Hope it helps everyone to have a good view of their current finance/loan status.

err... what formate you used? no file type

If it is just in excel format, think no need to zip ( compress ) it. The file size should not be too big.

Just attach the original excel format should be Ok.

Rename it to .xlsx

yap. working liao.. thanks for the effort.

but a bit funny with the graph though .cause base on actual refering (using One motor) my car break even on 7th year. but this graph show 9 years. [confused]

sorry whats the latest loan rate for new and used cars?

From 2.5% ,difference AD use difference rate.

Since this topic is about loan, can I check, if My AD does not offer discount for in house loan, can I pay full cash, and then get a cheaper loan from outside? Reason is because I can arbitrage and get a higher return on the Effective interest rate. Currently POSB offer 1.99% flat rate, which is equal to 3.91% effective if loan for 5 yrs.. this offers only marginal arbitrage opportunity. However if anyone knows even cheaper loans, then it's certainly very attractive
