Lamborghini employee and passenger killed during test drive

The driver of a Lamborghini Gallardo and his female passenger were killed in a one-car traffic accident in Wuppertal, Germany. Witnesses at the scene said the yellow supercar was being driven too fast for the wet motorway.

An employee of the automaker, or one of its dealerships, was giving a test drive to a 28-year-old woman when the accident took place. Others on the road said the Lambo was dangerously overtaking other cars, using the median to speed past some on the highway.

Eventually, the car launched into the air, slammed into a street light, and caught fire. The driver was killed instantly, but the 28-year-old passenger managed to escape.

She later died at the scene while paramedics worked on her, awaiting the arrival of a rescue helicopter.

And some ignorant fella says that speed don't kill.... -_-

yeah..speeding don't kills...it's the act of suddenly stopping(which in this case, slamming into the lampost) which kills..

going fast (aka speeding) seriously doesn't kill....

it's driving recklessly and not taking responsibility of your actions that kills....

if everyone was going at 240kph on the highway, the relative speed to each other cancels out each other as same is everyone going at 90kph....

and anyways, i thought sports cars of such pedigree are made from carbon fibre or part aluminium right???

they can be wrecked in accidents, but should provide excellent protection to passengers in the car during a crash....

If something goes wrong at 90kph, at 80% people can manage to control the vehicle and most likely survive. At 240kph, 80% of victim is gone case.

Simple law of physic, don't believe what Hollywood teach you.

But not when it flips into the air and hits something. Anything can happen in such a situation

No matter how good and powerful the car is.

When the road got oil and sand....no car can prevent such crashes.

Too bad the body structure is only designed for frontal crash. If you kena side or upsidedown/flipping crash...no car can save you.

no wonder Porsche put rear scaffoldings in the GT2 and GT3RS models.....

so in case the car overturns at highspeeds, still have a chance to survive....

but how can a sports car of such pedigree and brand physically flip?? their CG already so low....

just drive with responsibility...know thy limits and driving skills....

The truth is some people just want to show they are "better" than others without consider the consequences.

Do thing without consider the consequences is IDIOT.

as i've said,

you may have the money to own a Ferrari/ Lamborghini, but if you have the brains together with your money,

you'll own the Lamborghini/ Ferrari however, on a day to day driving basis, you're better off in a luxury or lay man's car....

Ferrari, Lamborghini, WRX, EVO they all will overheat....

it's like wasted engineering....the car is revving at high revs, generating quite a bit of heat, but the car is not going fast at any point of time....

it's a joke to be driving a Ferrari/ Lamborghini in city areas....

According to Euro source, the car was a display car driven by an Italian Lamborghini employee.

Great power comes with great responsibility. Everyone loves to have the former, but can you handle the later?

Should put him inside instead. Give him a taste of his own medicine.
