Hmmm...I kinda agree with the pastor in this instance. It's not really insulting other religions, he was just pointing out how silly some of the rituals commonly practised in Chinese society can be! All the different idols and superstitions and baseless fears that come with such archaic beliefs, seem to be so much hocus-pocus in the face of all the knowledge we have in this day and age.

I'm sure speaking in tongues and the "Holy Communion" makes a lot of sense and is definitely not "hocus-pocus in the face of all the knowledge we have in this day and age" as well.

Do yourself a favour, give yourself a moment to think before you put words to text.

Did I mention anything about Christianity making alot of sense?! Please do yourself a favour and take a moment to read what others have written before making nonsensical comments!

Hmm.. chill bro. A black pot calling a black kettle black is still making a true statement, regardless of irony. Many religions have practices that are rooted in superstition or faith (depending on your definitions). The pastor is not wrong to point that out even though it's amusing...

great. the cross must be a symbol based on true science. Prove it.

It's funny how poeple seem to associate my post with me being staunch Christian! In fact, I am a firm believer in science, and making statements based on empirical evidence.

As such, I certainly cannot believe the creation myths in any theology, having knowledge of how everything was created by the physical laws which govern our Universe and the evolution of species which is ongoing to this very day!

Still, I cannot discount the possibility of a divine entity and thus, have allowed in my mind the existance of the supernatural. But following any religion closely, fanatically, is a very dangreous thing!

The first five minutes he was talking about this Pastor Prince whom I have no idea who the hell was that.

The insulting part comes in from 5th minute onwards.

TS should have put the time when the insulting start. Waste a good 5 minute of my time at the start,

I would be the last person on this forum to defend superstitions or pagan practices of any sort. A summary reading of my previous posts would make that clearly obvious to the most dense of idiots. But like any other information out there in the world, the source is just as important as the context and the content. And nothing annoys me more as double standards from Christians who tend to conduct themselves as the standard bearers of modernity and progress.

A pastor whose whole life and faith revolves around a collection of fairytales and humbugs putting down Eastern superstitions and practices, no less in the public domain, should not be tolerated because his aim is vindication by inference. For example, as an Iman of a particular Muslim sect, I denounce the activities, practices and faith of another sect as heretic and forbidden. The obvious inference is that MY OWN practices, activities and beliefs are hence valid and correct, and this is what enters the minds of people, despite not a single word about my own practices/activities/belief having been said at all.

This is an age-old practice, a devious and cunning way of conquering through division and the planting of doubt, and is commonly defended by claiming that the context of what I've said is factual and valid. Frankly, most people will be taken in by such an argument, and it is the responsibility of those who have encountered such practices previously to expose it for what it is.

In short, a monkey is deriding another monkey. Logical and like-minded humans should not be taken in by this circus show.
