Minut3s Neutral Newbie July 14, 2010 Share July 14, 2010 Hi guys, Just like to share I have hit a new personal record for detailing my car, in just an hour. Here's what I done: - Rinse my car - Wash my car with car shampoo and clay it at the same time - Wash my rims with wheel cleaner - Rinse my car - Dry my car using a waffle weave, about 70% dry, 30% wet - Apply JW Prime whole car (using a wet soft sponge) - Buff it away - Apply Clearkote carnuba moose wax (wet applicator), wipe on and wipe off Everything done in just an hour =) Every steps were done in high speed. Would probably be 15 mins faster if I not for the fact my rims had stubborn stains on them. Who say you have no time to detail your car? =D But end of it, body damn weak and perfect for a nap. ↡ Advertisement

Pringo 1st Gear March 21, 2014 Share March 21, 2014 Should wash wheels/rims before everything else. By doing so you won't allow the water to dry on top when you're washing your wheels. Lucky that it takes you one hour. Takes me almost 2-3 hours for a full wash. 1) Wheel/Rim rinse and wash (must properly clean callipers as well) 2) Rinse car 3) Use foam gun to soak car in soap suds, let it dwell for a minute 4) Re-rinse car 5) Use foam gun and 2 bucket method to clean car from top down 6) Re-rinse car 7) Use up remaining soap in foam gun 8) Use leaf blower to dry off car/wheels 9) Use waffle weave to get remaining wet spots 10) Apply quick detailer for extra shine Long process but hard to short cut when you want to make sure no swirls or marring on your paint.
