Once the tax returns become marginal growth, then take away the incentives and claim from the littering fines + CWO free labour. Gee.. the govt did learn something from the casinos! And their life expectancy is lower, too. So they have a shorter period of contribution. Unless they pass away @ 55 or somewhere near then. Then just nice. The sheer ingenuity of this absolutely astounds me! Not new. We pay them to copy the ideas from other countries. Visited Japan a few years back and the lady guide was a Japanese. She was smoking and there is no bins in sight and suddenly she took out a small pouch from her bag and throws the butt in it. We thought she's crazy and then she showed us and it's design to carry cigarette butts. The pouch is a nice small pouch which is those ladies who will carry them during lunch hours and it's for cigarette butts. There will be a day in Singapore when it will mimick what the Japanese are doing. Designated smoking areas in the public. Not allowed to walk and smoke at the same time.
