Turbocharged

then get the Mercedes Vito Bus [thumbsup] and get blown away by turbo diesel [bounce1] ....................................and a 70 speed limit [grin]

seems like the Vito has some seriously ridiculous running cost. should investigate more if really interested. u see old Vitos selling for peanuts and nobody bites.

To drive a PA, PB, PH, PZ plate vehicle, van or bus, whatever, you need a probation license to do so.

Toyota Hiace Commuter, Nissan Caravan are all auto available..

Hiace better, coz got turbo. Caravan (the auto version of Urvan) no turbo, very sluggish.

Neutral Newbie

To drive a public bus,you need to take bus vocational licence course at any driving centres and must also do a medical checkup after you have passed the written test when collecting the vocational licence at the LTA at Sin ming.Van not need vocational licence just a class 3 driving licence will do just need to register with company.

I got both bus and taxi vocational licences to keep for future use in case next time jobless...

Hi there,

any idea how to get the vocational license?

Is it similar to taking class 3 driving license or just paper test?

Thanks

from what i gathered from the LTA,

gotta go down and apply first, which costs $40....

then gotta go down for medical test, and practical and theory test also....

then they'll give you the license after reviewing you....

but gotta renew every 3 yrs....

Twincharged

do you know what's the average fuel consumption then???

thanks.

[laugh]

Not sure. But I heard him telling my relatives more worth it cuz he spends alot less on fuel every month compared to his previous car. He was driving the toyota estima previously.

Estima good taxi run-a-bout....

Hiace is a superb buy....

may consider one too....especially the auto version....

then peak hours can freely use the Bus Lane. Don't have to queue up in stupid traffic light queues....

[thumbsup]

Vito due for facelift....

dunno when its coming here though....

the current 2.2CDI 170bhp seems to be really underpowered, especially for the ELWB version....

hope the new facelift version will have more power (200bhp maybe???)....

but parts and all are expensive, obvious for a Mercedes-Benz....

oh,

anyone saw the ad in Classified on Foton MP-X and Chery H5???

Chery H5 is a blatant rip-off of the new Hiace Commuter Bus (Hi-Roof 14-seater version)....

PA Bus@$75,0000

S-Plate (CAr)@$95,000

G-Plate@$70,000

too bad they don't have low-roof version to enter MSCP....

hmm....

Not only do you have a dedicated lane to youself, you can now do car pool with other people and start a mini premium bus service [:p]

actually is not about fuel consumption....

i'm not really concerned about that....

but rather,

what i want is long fuel tank range....

hate filling up at petrol kiosk these days with supermarkets in them....

people just park the car at the pumps, then take their own sweet time to shop,

even though there are dedicated parking lots for shopping purposes....

selfish nia....

and waste my time....
