The S60 altis-like basic looking halogen headlamps is the biggest turn off.

And the interior road noise is so bad. The suspension thumps and harshness can be felt all the time.

Not a refined car.

Have to admit though I just got a C180. But have to honestly admit, S60 is a nicely and more soild build car. SAFETY [thumbsup]

C180 is also bad in NVH. Just slightly better than S60.

Of course I would love to own a C180 or S60, rather than my Jazz anytime.

Good feedback on the headlights, should have told the agent about the headlights maybe can get discount on the car

Yes very sour to being made to pay so much for a S60, n get a bare minimum low tech halogen headlight.

The C180 also same low rent headlight.

Make the car look so 'cheapskate'.

Volvo S60 is one of the safest and refined car .It powerful and stable at high speed .

haha, i am not sure about its engine power, not particular about that, but i like the fact that with the dual clutch, gear change is smooth, and the turbo kicks in gently at low rpm, so the acceleration is smooth too, unlike the Jetta's turbo, which makes the acceleration quite jerky when the turbo kicks in. So overall, the acceleration is fast and smooth due to dual clutch + gentle turbo.

I would agree on the noise part, usually it's on the expressway, too noisy for my liking, although stil quieter than my previous jap ride, but i have yet to sit on a car that's super quiet type, so still ok :)

As for the light, xenon would be nice for my own satisfaction, but i hate other cars with xenon white light, it's very glaring and there are times when my driving was affected because i am basically blinded by the high power white lights... i don't see how that helps... SG roads are well lighted, there's really no need for such high power glaring lights, except for bragging rights. in fact, i consider them a road hazard.

on the same note, i am glad the rear view mirror of S60 will auto dim when the lights of the cars behind are too glaring. too bad the side mirrors don't auto-dim.

Turbocharged

What is the different compare to 2006 Volvo S 60 T5 and Volvo S 60 2.4 ?

[confused]

Based on my fading memory, T5 is 2319cc 250-260bhp and the 2.4T is 2435cc 220bhp.

(please excuse if the cc is not down to the exact cc)

There is difference in Torque as well.....

Think SM brought in 1-2 shipment of the 2.4T as this model was originally destine for BKK....

Turbocharged

T5 model engine cc is 2401 . T5 is better off than 2.4 ?

Again from memory, original cc was a tad lesser, the 2401cc is the latter version.

It also puts put 260bhp, the earlier ones put out lesser....

T5 better off than the 2.4? Difficult qns to answer. It's subjective.

But 2.4T perceived as "tainted" as it was like rejected ones from BKK...

But I was driving a Volvo then and frankly can't tell the diff

Turbocharged

T5 model can reach 100km below 7 sec ..got so fast ?

260bhp and 330NM (or is it 350NM)

Yes! It's that fast BUT being front wheel drive, diff to control the torque steer....

I was driving the S60 2.0T before changing to XC90.....

Tested the T5, straight line acceleration then was simply superb.

Off course, then the Audi, BM and Merc still NA.... Today, diff story.....
