Does anyone know the address/location of the shop in JB which sells the famous "paper wrapped chicken"?

 

Was told the shop is called "Zhu Lin" and is near the Shell petrol kiosk in Taman Sentosa?

 

Is it the only place which sells this dish?

The chicken is damn small, damn oily and not nice.

 

The prices are very expensive.

The Union Eating House isn't that bad; yes its oily but guess every different place has it's own style. The Oil is supposed to be eaten with the noodles. Its old school I guess, along Clementi Road. I like the aura though.

There is another chix restaurant beside Bamboo.. selling same stuff.. some say its better than bamboo restaurant :)

i prefer bamboo.. have been going there for yrs.

then what about the vegetables and all that.. the vegetables is so bland, the food portion is so small and the place is so old...

 

The price is so exp... it is even more exp than some resturants

Can't recall exactly what happened but maybe 20 years ago went to this Union Eating House place with my missus.

 

Had to buy a min of two chickens and loads of rice and only fried rice iirc.

 

Didn't stay and eat.

 

I guess the paper wrap chicken not that great, otherwise you would have re-visit again?

Twenty years, I wonder if the standard had drop or rise....

it's at jurong east ... near the hawker centre...

i think it is at Jurong East St 31......near the market, should be blk 348/9 or something....just go to the market, walk one round of the shops surrounding the market......
