Will battery go dead if car not start for 1 week ?

Say you leave your car for 1 week, and try to start it after that. Will the battery go dead ?

What was the longest time you left your car without starting it and the battery was still ok ?

Very unlikely. I had left my car unused for about 2 weeks and when I came back from holidays, I had no problem starting my car.

When the battery terminal is disconected for a period of time. will the ECU and other setting have prob after that ?

 

I notice that when battery shop replace battery, they keep the car running so that power supply is still there even the old battery is then away before they install the new battery.

Think for modern cars it is still okay for a week or two. If i remember correctly, a friend of mine is able to start after being overseas for 2 weeks.

Depends on yr battery condition.

 

I left my car for 2 weeks + and had no problem starting when I came back.

if the battery is weak then the car alarm system can further drain down the battery if left more then 1 week at car park.

the last time my batt went flat, he reach me within 30mins, change my battery, file away the corrosion on the leads, and test my charging, with proper receipts and warranty card.

i once left for overseas reservist for 3 weeks and came back the car still managed to start....so no problem....

unless your battery is low charge when you left it
