Why Singapore no Acura and Infiniti but Lexus ?

Anyone out there know why ?

 

If Singapore has Acura i will surely get the RDX which has a 2.3liter engine and one turbo

 

 

 

Infiniti i will take the EX which has a 2.5liter engine

Many of the Acura and Infinity I saw in the US are very big CC cars (many are big size SUV).

 

Singapore is a very small market maybe not worth to bring these brands in.

 

As for Lexus, the same model in Singapore can be different engine capacity in the US. LIke last time our IS200 is their IS300. IS250 is their IS350.

all these cars are made for the usa luxury market. acura is not bothered to sell such cars outside usa and china where the luxury market is small. also need to spend time and money to convert it to right hand drive. infiniti is not doing well. why sell it elsewhere?

Simple. It's called marketing.

 

Lexus was set out to be a global brand, to be sold all around the world.

 

Acura and Infiniti are meant to be US only brands, so that's where they are.

 

Infiniti has been threatening to expand globally for a few years now. Guess we'll wait and see.

BTW, Infiniti is now available in Europe, the Middle East and some Asian markets.

You are right man. Just learnt that the Honda-Acura line-up are all big boys with huge BHP and somemore got all wheel drive too. Funny that Singapore ones are all low low bhp. Even the Civic Type R also less horsepower than them.

 

Hmm......really something new coz did not know they do turbo their big cars with AWD drive tech too.
