i think those old buses were sold to thailand bus operator

Not just Thailand. Many years back, when I was with my wife in her hometown of Sandakan, Sabah (East Malaysia), I notice something very familiar when I took a public bus. The ticketing machine (not in use there) was very similar to those used here prior to the use of cash card on our buses. While on board the bus, I confirmed it was an old SBS bus when I saw several SBS logo on surface of the bus panels.

That Leyland bus brings back fond memories. Every time waiting for bus when you see that one will be damn happy, quiet quiet inside, air-con cold cold, song dahhh.

Turbocharged

Double-decker buses has got to be the most efficient mode of transport on the road. Carry most passenger per space on the road. Those long bendy buses are a waste of space in my opinion. They should import more double-decker buses.

Saw this

The last Leyland bus chassis ever built was recently acquired from SBS Transit and shipped back to UK for preservation. Interesting!

Some people don't like double deck bus due to:

- lazy to climb up 2nd deck (especially if its a short journey)

- tends to be jerky

- tends to be slower

For me, sit upper deck can see scenery, so I like double decker bus! :D

I like to sit on upper deck too! Some buses will pass by the tertiary institutions, then those sitting on left side window, can usually see a lot of [gorgeous] [gorgeous] [gorgeous]

During my poly time, always took the non-aircon 106 bus from Serangoon interchange to SP. Sitting on upper deck can sleep all the way.

Hmm, I haven't seen a bendy bus in ages. Are they already phased out?
