I think the price of rice dumpling in Singapore is simply rediculous and they are not very nice...Anyone have try out any good rice dumpling in our neighbouring land? Probably within 150km from Causeway...Anything further will be too far...

You referring to those U get from Shopping Mall? OF course they cannot be compare to the traditional home made dumpling. There is still a few of those good rice dumpling which you can find in your neighbourhood food market stall. Happy Hunting. ^_^

My hawker center also has this stall, But I don't really like it. Not sure if it's the branch or totally unrelated.

Now best time to eat Bak Kwah!!

Or those mini moon cake from bakery shop.

Don't always chase the items when they raise the prices during festive period.

Try hong kong and china one.. Singapore version (the kong bah and nonya style) is still the best version of rice dumpling for me..

Any new/creative alternative version to the traditional rice dumplings to share? Forgot how my mum prepared her rice dumplings, and missed them (different ingredients/spices used).

Just came back from Sheng Shiong Jalan Bahar. Now selling dumplings under stall outside their cashiers line, take in and Q at cashier.

Nonya, pork dumplings @S$1.20. Other types incl salted egg yolk iirc @S$2.

I bought 10 for nonya and pork, plus 1 each nonya and pork [direct from their steamer] for supper tonight.

Last year, I bought only 5 + 5.

For cheapo like me, I find good value --> u chnee, u pnee, u koon lor pnee, u tua liap

You can even buy only 1pc direct from their steamer, try on the spot before deciding whether to buy more.

Fry some darkened glutinous rice, add some beans, buy some leaves or get some from the garden, fold the leaves into a cone shape, put some glutinous rice, beans, mushroom and of course, lots of "fat pork", tie it well, and then steam it for half a day. Sorry, do not like the white or overly creative versions.

Turbocharged

Speaking of dumplings... anyone knows where that stall selling potstickers (guo tie) in Margaret Drive shifted to?
