Jen hotel has underground carpark, walking distance to Komtar & New Road food street

Or Sunway hotel within food street itself, MSCP.

I went to look, its far from the centre of Georgetown.

Found it quite convenient when we stayed there.

Just at the top of Penang Rd iirc with all the coffee shops..

Nice Dim Sum opposite.

Quite a few tourist attraction close by.

If you can afford to stay there then taxi cost no problem.

BTW we never used a taxi just hired a car for a day or so.

Tanjong Bungah hotels better that those on Batu F, imo.

there are 2 hotel that I would stay whenever I visit penang.

either "lone pine" or "e&o".

penang road design is not pedestrian friendly, travelling will be always by grab or drive.

or

you may want to try "23 love lane hotel" nearer to Georgetown center. I stayed there once,

a heritage and cosy hotel.

Sunway. Food street and durian nearby. Just need to watch for air raids from the trees along Jalan Macalister at night if walking to durian stores or the other hawker ctr a few mins away.
