renew COE now la.

august will go up.

now PQP 90k plus just buy.

depreciation also lower than new car

Why would I wanna spend 90k on an old car? f--k that s--t... No logic.. Only a dimwit would do that...

Might as well top up a bit more and a 2 year old C180K.

If i have to I'd just buy another W124 with COE til 2019.

its at least a 50k top up.

9k/year is damn cheap depreciation

Haha about 130k.

Actually i don't mind getting this instead

http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...960&DL=1000

220bhp and 350NM why not.

I'm getting sick of the old car. There's nothing much i can do with it. No power mods short of dumping a 2JZ in the car which is illegal.

Aiyah I want an almost new car lah.

For what waste money on an old car that hardly has any value?

Oh yeah I swear once you try a newer, more comfortable and more powerful car, you will want to ditch your old car.

For me it's not really the case... drove quite a few different cars back in Singapore on various occasions, some of them new, powerful and luxurious, and although one or two of them gave me my most wonderful driving experiences ever, I still enjoy my two old cars.

i dont care about comfort or what ever technology in the car.

1st thing i look out for = power

2nd thing is cost.

so i do look for lower power:cost ratio.

the rest dont matter

Haha I guess I get bored easily.

I drove the new bmw 320 coupe the other time and I was like s--t I don't want my w124 anymore.

But oh well the w124 is still a car that enables me to get from point to point.

Haha the irony of it all is that the running costs of your car are really high.

If i'm not wrong the newer conti 2.0l turbo charged cars are capable of being fuel efficient yet powerful.

That's what appeals to me.

when i say "cost", it means annual depreciation.

currently at 4.5k/year

and conti's cant be tuned as much as JDMs.

stock vs stock conti may win.

but once both are modded, the japs have more room to "expand"

okay....

I see the boy racer in you has emerged.

Right now you're probably at a stage where you like to constantly mod your car without thinking about the practicality of it.

Most people will complain that your car is noisy and the ride is really hard, you'd say that such a set up is necessary to go fast.

Yeah i must admit it's cool to mod your car and make it one of the fastest cars around.

However, the more i look at it, it's rather impractical in SG to make your EVO or WRX have power figures of 600bhp.

Such extreme modifications are not meant for the street, which is why I've constantly told you to keep your car the way that it is.

I've told you before I like stealth modifications done to the car that way it doesn't attract that much attention.

By going stealth, it enables you to scare the crap out of wannabes who think their riced up ride is faster than yours.

Yeah the japs have more room to expand but you'd most probably keep such mods for the track.

It's pointless to have so much power but no where to channel it.

Besides such cars are expensive to run

Maybe you should look at it from the initial d point of view.

The AE86 was underpowered but it is well balanced hence able to outrun all the more powerful cars down the mountain.
