He's not just talking the talk, but also walking the walk. STOMPer Jocelyn spotted Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew on a public bus today (May 24), and thinks it is "great for him to have started taking public transport so early in his new job".

She says:

"I think I saw the new Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew on the bus today.

"It's great for him to have started taking public transport so early in the new job!"

Can confirm ID?

I thought it was a ploy. Pic of look alike on a bus, let it go viral, people ask to confirm ID, Ministry silent, people pursue, then had to say it was NOT HIM!

That would be really nice.

Maybe we will see a KBW visit contruction sites, 1-2rm flats. go HDB talking to young couples queuing to buy flat etc.

maybe his pay cut so much that he can't afford a car anymore? hahaha

you very hard to please hor, people being complaining minister do not know what is happening on the ground, people being complaining why not minister go take public transport and see how bad it is.. and now after election minister are trying their best to improve themself and change for better and do things that more towards the ground and see what is happening around them which had never been happen before. Like that you still not happy? That what you want? He drive to work you not happy say he do not understand how people who take public transport feel, now he take public transport and you sarcastically say he could not afford car because of pay cut ?

Give them sometime to prove themself la.. it's a new beginning and what had happen in the past is past already and no point to keep talking about it already. Now just look forward to future and make sure they (minister) do not do the same mistake again.

Some Singaporeans are funny.

When ministers dont take public transport, they keep challenging minister to try public transport to get a feel of what they go through. And when they did, they say minister wayang.

No wonder some foreigners i cant across told me some singaporeans are not worth serving..haha

Ya people should not always complain and never do anything, if something is not very right, do something to make sure it is right rather than keep complain. If people mindset is just very bias because of what had happen in the past, than there would be no great future. One must learn to forgive and forget and move on and make sure that those mistake that the past people (minister) had done will not happen to current people (minister) serving us now.

In this case, these people have just proven Tuck Yew right. Before the elections, he said some people have already made up their minds and no matter what the ministers did, they would never be pleased.
