190,000km Skoda Superb Update

An update for the bros here as my ride hits 190,000km

Major parts has to be changed as they are worn. cost me $1300

The list is super long almost like over haul. But after the change, the ride feels like new and engine is quiet again, silent huff and grunt to push the car off. The spinning of the turbo never sounded sweeter.....feels like a new ride and am happy with it.

The rubber seals around the doors might be giving as wind noise seems more evident. Plastics in the car is still ok, because I do keep the dashboard cleaned and wiped and add some dashboard cream over it to protect it from the harmful rays of the sun. The handles are peeling and will probably have to go do something about that, but don't want to spend money on it.

But most importantly is the engine, its purring and I am happy. Anyways as I am on Stage 2 with 195 hp to boot, I am happy of course.

Happy 5 years old Skoda Superb, you have served us well.

Wow 150,000km is well run in as well.

I actually do not much on NSH but Singapore use.

Want to ask maybe diesel is a better option. What do you guys think? Is there a formulae to calculate this?

I am thinking of putting those "leather" wraps (like those on badminton rackets) on my peeling door handles as well. Any idea where to get?

My bro got his Alfa done up with those with sticker type with a Carbon Fiber look. Did the dashboard and handles for about 300 somewhere in Ubi, if you guys are interested, I will ask him for the shop name, address and contacts.

I like SUV and was looking at the LandRover Freelander 2, sat a friends unit, it is nice. But kinda expensive currently and power wise it is not so powerful, the diesel model is not as powerful as well.

Check out Today newspaper center spread about cars. Nice......

For the Hyundai fans - the new Elantra, pretty nice looking.

For the Skoda bros here - check out The Flying Dutchman's new ride, the 2.0TSI Superb Combi - WOW! 2.0 TSI means all the 2.0TSI models should be coming in Q3.
