Amsoil based on used oil analysis lab test by customers, it is also proven & tested using industry standards (eg. ASTM).

IIRC, FK oil 5W-30 contains Group III, unlike Amsoil / Redline / Motul.

Besides I these 3 brands, I will take Mobil1 before I take FK. For Singapore version, Mobil1 Gold bottle 0W-40 is a premium grade. For imported oils, its Mobil1 EP.

Dear All,

AMSOIL cannot be compare against Motul or FK.

Because AMSOIL is engineered with POA base Grade IV base oil.

Motul uses Grade V Ester base.

As for FK oil and most of the Synthetic oil in the market below S$80.00 uses a Grade III base oil.

There is no difference in terms of performance, but in terms of emission standards, you will realize that most oil engineered with base oil Grade IV and above delivers a higher standards in terms of quality. Performance of oil and the way it behaves is subjective to your different additive package that is integrated in the oil.

I have not tried FK oil before due to the cost. Thus I stick with Amsoil.

IMHO, for its price, Amsoil is hard to beat. Not doubt there are better oils out there but it will be much more costly.
