Nice....many new tyres released recently.

The thread looks very stylo.....and it performed better then the old GS-D3. Perfect!!

Really surprised to see the yoko s-drive up there as benchmark!! I thought that was a low end tyre,as it always ended up lower in most tyres test!

And to think that I've just bought myself a set of GS-D3. -,- Was using it for my previous 50,000km on my 15" and it was great! And thus when I upgraded to a set of 16" rims, I insisted on GS-D3 again. Low price, great grip. Never mind the noise, I enjoyed the excellent wet grip.

Looks good! I need to change rubber very soon too.

Was considering Potenza Re002 or Michelin PS3.

Where is this Goodyear F1 rubber made? Anybody knows?

Godoyear Directional 5 made in china and thailand depending on sizes.

Just changed out my eagle f1 gds3 to this new tyre, directional 5. Can feel the difference, more sensitive in road steering. Also quite, especially at 150km/h above. Also done wheel alignment together. Satisfied with the high speed stability and steering response.

Using glx lancer manual, 205/50/R16.

Tanhangkiang: Is there a lot of difference in performance and sound level, as compared to GS-D3?

Better grip, but quieten down by a lot?

Sure, I am enjoying every moment with D5, much better then gds3.

AYE near nus towards jurong got some stretch of rough Tarmac, this D5 can't feel much noise.

The solid mid rib enhanced ur feel of road, so now you and car are one.

The shoulder rib reduces roll, can corner at higher speed.

Hope u enjoy it too.
