Felipe 3rd Gear August 18, 2011 Share August 18, 2011 The only thing i trust Sporeans to do is to vote like the way they did in the recent GE. Thanks for sharing the slides though i highly doubt it'll change the minds of the 60%.
Babyt 4th Gear August 18, 2011 Share August 18, 2011 cant use 60% to judge this PE. u have 4 candidates to choose from. GE is different cos 1 GRC has 2 parties to choose only and sometimes the opp party inside the GRC is lousy so ppl have no choice but go for papaya. themagi Neutral Newbie August 18, 2011 Share August 18, 2011 Tony Tan is the PAP proxy. Tan Jee Say is the SDP proxy. The only two who are not puppets would be Tan Kin Lian and Tan Cheng Bock. Between Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Kin Lian, the choice is whether you want to give the independent guy a chance, or the old guard from the good old days PAP a chance. SimonTan 2nd Gear August 18, 2011 Share August 18, 2011 The government already formed. The gov is the one that determine the policies and social and economic future. The president is just a figure head. Nothing to vote wisely needed. Did the prata man change or make Singapore a success? Did prata man bring policy to move us out and in of recession? Just have to vote a president that dare to speak up...or at least make the gov think thrice for their actions. I sure am not going to vote in a yes man tan. Watwheels Supersonic August 19, 2011 Share August 19, 2011 http://www.slideshare.net/ps42/tony-tan-wh...we-vote-for-him I think the slideshow is rubbish and crap. Obviously it's done by some opposition party member who sees ppl like TT as a political opponent. I did not go thru the entire slide cos it's basically blaming one person(and not the party he once represented) for what sgp had become today. As if he made all the decisions. I'm not a TT supporter anyway I was hoping I dun need to go and vote for any of the 4 candidates. Anyway who ever the prez is life still goes on as per norm. The prez in sgp is not politically active so even if ppl linked them to politics it just will not work for me. Maybe they just want to swing votes in favour to a certain individual candidate. I'm not going to fall for that nonsense. Vote wisely? Hahahaha... So what happened at the last GE after so many ppl posted these 2 overrated words? I hope ppl wake up and smell the coffee. KARTer 2nd Gear August 19, 2011 Share August 19, 2011 The government already formed. The gov is the one that determine the policies and social and economic future. Not a bad thing to put in more checks n balances, right? The president is just a figure head. Nothing to vote wisely needed. Did the prata man change or make Singapore a success? Did prata man bring policy to move us out and in of recession? No, but this is because he chose not to use the soft-power. Just have to vote a president that dare to speak up...or at least make the gov think thrice for their actions. I sure am not going to vote in a yes man tan. Looking forward to this, using the vote. Wont disagree with that entirely. But every drop of water counts. When there's no wine to choose, at least pick tea, or coffee, or water, whichever we feel at least suits our taste and hopefully quenches half our thirst.
