Mazdaowner Moderator September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 No one knows about this ??? Buy it, best of both worlds, notebook cum pad in one. I saw it in Japan earlier this year, didn't get it since I already have The iPad and a MacBook.
Jtis 4th Gear September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 I bought 1 recently at comex. Quite nice, can plug in mouse via usb to docking station. With docking station, batt life is astonishingly long. Keyboard is quite ok to use although i keep hitting enter when i wanted to press right shift. Screen is sharp but fingerprints show up very easily. Gave up cleaning already. Outlook is nice with docking station, textured clamshell shape but when tablet is detached alone, i feel the the back is a little bit too convex, prefer it to be flatter. I felt that assessories are a tad hard to find, like mcasing etc
Weewee1976 3rd Gear September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 Currently using it to browse this forum. Have been loving it since I've gotten it nearly 2 months ago. Ever since I've been using less of my desktop PC.
Sirex Neutral Newbie September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 I will go for this instead..the Eee Slider. Was very impressed when I saw the actual set few weeks ago.. http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/01/asus-ee...september-3g-e/
Carra Neutral Newbie September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 At this price it is pretty close to a full fledge laptop, I saw at the recent computer show there are some laptops running i5 processors, 4 gb ram with pretty decent graphic cards from $800-1000. So you need to ask yourself do you really need this or is it better to pay $100+ more and get a full fledge laptop with much more computing power. Obscurest 1st Gear September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 Just to share my exp about asus transformer. I bought it a few mths ago but sold it off on the 5th day. I own ipad 1 as my son is always using it so wana buy 1 for my own use n after all the research, finally decided to settle for the asus instead of iPad 2. Why I dun like : 1) not used to android and really force myself to familarise with it. 2) limited apps to play with 3) I prefer to jb n play with ipad. 4) lastly which is the main reason why I decided to give up - is super laggy and not responsive at all. When I tried to type sometin on the asus, it only manage to capture 40% of what I keyed in. Compare with my ipad which does not hav this issue at all. I have to stress that it maybe an isolated case but still give up the tablet after 5 days of trying. The above is just for your ref only. Thks

In fact it depends on what's your usage. For me I purely use it to surf net play some games and entertain my kids so I go for a tablet. If you need to use it for your office work then laptop of even netbook will b your option.

Doesn't lag at all (most issues were fixed with the Android OS upgrades), except for the stock browser which works great until it crashes. Doesn't matter though - Dolphin HD is awesome. IMO get this if you want to actually be productive with a tablet.

Busybody 1st Gear September 12, 2011 Share September 12, 2011 err. Tegra 250 belongs to Tegra 2 series. Or are you talking about Tegra 2 vs Tegra 3? OK, so assuming I see a brochure that says Tegra250 chip used, I assume this would be the same chip used in SGS tab 10.1's Tegra2? Thanks ↡ Advertisement
