Dynamat Extreme or other Sound Proofing Materials

My whole car sound proofing was done by my freelance installer 3.5 years back. He did a Honda City with all 4 doors double layers, front wheel arches and fenders and including flooring for less than SGD450. Not sure if the owner is a frequent user in MCF.

The material used is Korean black sticky type which I personally have not encountered any melting even parking under the hot sun for whole day. The whole car was done up using such material except for the flooring which is using the carpet type. I think the brand is Cable Hunter.

have not tried...read that it's from Russia

How would we know if the Dynamat is the real stuff? I had seen fake Defi gauges and VAFC in Malaysia before.

You might be right cos anything can be copied nowadays...however, the box looked exactly as those from US, sealed also.

The boss even showed me the imported docs...so, on lor...LOL

As long as the price is right for the real thing, I guess it is worth a try. The worst is paying for the best stuff and yet it does not work and becomes burden.

You are oh so right, buddy. As long as it's comfortable to our pockets and it works, why not?

The end result was a reduction of 30 to 40%....cheers

Are Secondskin products good?

They have quite a good range of products & reviews from the Web seems pretty good.

Any bros use this on their ride before??

Why aren't audio makers selling their noise cancelling tech? Ppl still use sound insulation mat for so many years, adding so much unnecessary weight just to deaden noise. Waste petrol and contribute more co2 emissions.

Was wondering if anyone know where to get these. I saw a few threads but all of them damn old already...2006.

I wanna try DIY, anyone knows the rough cost to buy? Or any other similar sound proofing material also can.

Thanks in advance! =)

Great job bro!
