How would they wash your filter? Just rinse and install back in air box? What brand is that by the way?

can someone recommend good and reliable workshop for my toyota wish, 6 years old? Aircon not cold. Changed less than a year in my workshop in Singapore. I was told compressor problem and will happen again. So it happened again.

You should go back to that workshop which did your aircon, and asked them to check and explain. How can the part change less than a year can kaput so fast...!

Any recommendation please?

For Aircon I usually go to Markcool at Woodlands Indl Park E1.

U can search in here n the full details wil pop out.

BTW I only deal with Ah Huat the foreman. Others I heard not so experienced n maybe got problems sometimes.

I was guessing it must have been a ss filter. If K&N wash and put back, more dirt is going to get in. I wonder how dense they can manufacture the ss mesh to achieve such high filter rate when the flow is as good as K&N.

I think try not to go to any professor lee workshop in JB, i went to a car washing outlet along new york hotel and there's a car washing outlet call boss think co joint with professor lee, the malay washer there just open my compartment and unzip my coin pouch and steal RM 100, i call up the place shortly and they say they will check with that washer, after 10 mins i call again they refuse to answer my phone and i repeatl calling they also don't answer after seeing my number, the next day noon i call back a lady picked up and she tell me once i drive off their shop it's non of their business anymore, I do agree that it's non of their business and we have to take risk washing our car there but i still advise people don't wash there if possible as the boss seems to collaborate with their staff in the stealing process

if u saw the malay guy opened your pouch and took the money why u din confront him on the spot....and one thing....who would leave their money or valuables in a car while it is being washed. Take it as an expensive lesson!

The good practice when servicing car in JB is to bring your own engine oil, filters, spark plugs, and whatever parts you need to change during service. Do not buy any parts from them, as you need to know before hand which parts is due changing. All the workshop are the same, be it in Singapore or Malaysia. Dont give them a single chance to source parts for you. Hope this help. [thumbsup]

Take note of the engine oil package these workshop offer you as mostly is recycle type especially Castrol.Best is buy from pump station and ask the workshop to change for you

When you say "recycle type" is the engine oil ???

Engine oil if used before is very obviously dark black colour and thick......you can tell the difference.
