Soonmunn 1st Gear December 4, 2011 Share December 4, 2011 As the coe is expected to stay high untill 2013-2014, when that time comes has anyone considered encashing their current coe prematurely and getting a new coe for their existing ride? Its still way cheaper than buying a brand new ride especially since cars can typically have operational lifespans well above 10yrs? Can anyone share how this is done? Given recent move by Comfort, it is a sign that they will be coming into the COE mkt soon to buy up the certificates for their new replacement.. It is inevitable that such costs will be pass onto the consumers. On the surface it appears that they are helping the cabbie, but I dun remember then putting the rental charge to cab drivers and how it will be revised after the fare hikes. I'd be surprised if they dropped by any meaningful amount at this time of year - with Pre CNY deliveries being in mind along with year end bonus...
