y not? even old buses can climb mountain...

it's more impt to check or service on the brakes system before you make the trip. Coming down hill without good brakes are big no no...use your engine brakes to assist.

ok..just wondering ok.... heard from some of my friend very hard to go up...

maybe they are referring to their money amount is very hard to go up in genting casino.... [laugh]

the degree of the slope will determine the difficulty of ascend. certain parts of the genting uphill are more steep so step on it to get it moving, use low gear. Keep it slow & safe, especially at bends....your brakes will not work effectively when it's get overheated & you will be surprised when you fly over humps downslope when your brakes are not listening to you.

Turbocharged

i had been driving there for not less then 20x liao since 5 years ago.... just wondering old car can go up or not...

The local proton teksi, some >10yo, has been going up/down the Genting road countless times everyday.. Your car sure no problem one..

Genting road is so well maintained that even fully loaded 800cc Kancil can make the trip up

Have you seen how they drive up mountains in India or Cambodia, in 20-year old Isuzu pick up, with everything they ever owned in their life and full load of family and children at the back ? It will be slow but you will make it.

Got to watch your oil and coolant level and temperature though.

old car might over-heat easily if the fan or radiator is not working....so service them b4 your trip.

or make in-between stops to cool down the engine.... :excl:

just keep an eye on the temp gauge ... stop for a break if it goes too high ... don't let it go into the red
