I chose F1A2 3 weeks ago. cheaper than CSC5 and wear is better, based on reviews. so no brainer choice for me.

it's very quiet, but it can't be quiet if on very rough road like Lentor Ave, no tires can do that unless u are in a bently.

very happy with it.

yesterday night managed to try the wet grip due to rain. gripping and braking is good! so far the best tyres that i have used that is good in dry and wet grip and is quiet too.

go for CSC5,

BTW, where did you got the quote?

Made in Euro or Asia?

If you go to Tyrepac (www.tyrepac.com.sg), you should able to get the following price for 215/45/R17:

Goodyear Eagle F1A2 @ SGD 176.55 (country of origin: Europe)

Continential CSC5 @ SGD 165.85 (country of origin: Europe)

I believe if you go to those hot favourites like Poh Heng or Soh Brothers, price maybe the same or lower. But do note that Typrepac indicated both brand/models of tyres are from 2012 production. Not too sure is that an issue for some. Last I heard is that, one should not accept any tyres which has more than 6 months lapsed since it's production if you are paying for new.

2012 ok la..but like NTUC usually sell older stock cheaper...should be cheaper compare to 2013 stock...

as long as the tyre kept in good storage and not expose to hot sun..etc 2012 is ok and if u clock high mileage

Just changed my tyres (this week) to Eage F1 Asymmetric 2 @ $200 per pcs. Datecode is Week 9 and 10 of 2013.

Tyre: 215/45/R17.

$200 seems a good deal , where did you replace them?

I did it at Soon Huat Tyres (Somewhere @ Jurong East). Btw, it's made in Germany.

Before that, called a few, majority is having 2012 stock and price is slightly below $200.

Thanks.

Have tried asymmetric 2 before. Grip is good for both wet and dry. Reasonable tread wear and almost no road noise . A set of good performance tyres to consider.

10k on my Eagle F1A2, not a single piece of stone got stucked in the threads.

When for servicing, car was lifted and I personally inspected.
