Donut Supercharged January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 ok.. here it goes.. formula milk morning & night bread with cheeze mid-day rice with veg, pork/chick, tofu lunch again above dinner, sometimes out for meal.. like noodle night snack cookies.. was very windy the past 2 months.. recently slowed down.. so when it got hot, only on the fan.. dust is checked every other day to make sure no accumulation.. @2009k: point noted.. will discuss with my other half... Hmmm... like what ppl say; NO chicken, eggs, diary stuff, cheese, cookies. Cookies, cakes all contain eggs, right? No critus fruits such as oranges. Then try the Manuka honey. i heard it works wonders for some ppl. But young kids may be allergic to honey. Try some first and observe for allergies. Manuka +10, +12 is good enough. no need to get +24. And bring yr kid out to play in the sun. Sunlight is good for anyone. We need Vit D and some sunlight to boost our body immune system. ↡ Advertisement

Joseph22 Turbocharged January 17, 2012 Share January 17, 2012 (edited) 猴枣散 is one of the chinese medicine to treat cough and phlegm, but better to be seem by a TCM doctor. if can't find any in the neighbourhood, eu yan sang is one safer choice. Chinese medicine also has it side effect. this one is good. recently got 1 pack from hong kong. think now singapore hardly sell liao. i got the wrong medicine.. actually the one i bought is jiu sheng dan. Donut Supercharged January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 yeah.. realized that a lot of eggs in the diet.. will stop her from these for the time being. thanks to all bros who gave your valuable advice If you really wan to try TCM, i strongly recommend the Toa Payoh Chung Hwa Free TCM clinic, Lorong 4, opposite ST Micro Electronics. its the famous "temple-looking" building at Toa Payoh, next to NTUC. http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel...ename=Toa+Payoh This clinic is truly authentic TCM, run by charity full time. And it's free...... they are there, as long as i can remember as small boy. you might wan to give donations, each time u visit them. They run like a hospital with different TCM specialised doctors. You just go there, tell the reception what is your problem and they will refer u to the right TCM doctor there. Its good because u get to see the specialised TCM for your particular problem. Outside TCM are probably just general TCM. May not be good for your kid.
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 My 4yr old is having this consistent cough with phlegm for about over 2 weeks already.. western medication is useless and we don't want to put her thru antibiotics. The last round took about 4 weeks to recover.. with antibiotics, and she was so weak during the course. We thought it is probably time to try TCM instead. Anyone has recommendation for a good TCM physician / doctor? Nutrition imbalance? lack of physical exercise??
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 Sorry I have to add. For young kids, don't think TCM is a good alternative to western medicine. But what you can do is try the following regime religiously for 2 weeks. Do not consume: 1) Food from the fridge 2) Chicken and eggs 3) Fruits (except for pear and apple) 4) No fried stuff 5) Avoid pork and seafood else take in small quantity To consume: 1) Warm water now and then 2) Steam fish and porridge Just some exception: my cough stopped after i consumed eggs: raw eggs and century eggs
