Nice silvery grey and nice long tail!

My big handsome bro used to rub his face all over mine, not so now with the addition of little k-pop pretty little bro. Now they just like to wallop each other after the initial stage of hostility.

Your next sofa should be wooden one, just put cushions, spoilt already just change.

Sound very sad leh, even 2 cats he also no time to intro them. Unless cage up first, at night then release. I am lucky my helper also love cats. The big handsome bro actually very close to her than us.

How you guys embed photos? I can only post links.

ya.....if taken care properly it would be a beautiful cat...

Mine also like to rub his face over mine. When we reach home in the afternoon we just need to bend down and he will jump or stand up on its hind legs to do the headbutt. This picture was taken when it was sleeping on my palm at 4-5 month.....sad little bugger. post-60339-0-44081700-1518348508_thumb.jpg

You want? Got one all black female I call her Luna (Sox mother) and another off white female Princess (but damn fierce, Owl sister).

i play this game with my cats since they joined us. Put my hand under a pillow and makes small scratching movements.....the movements will put the cats on hunting mode and will act as though they are trying to catch a rodent or small critters. Make sure their claws has been trimmed 1st as the scratch and bites can be painful.

I used to play the same game with my civet cat during my teenage yrs but will make my hand looks like a cobra. It will jump and attack the 'cobra' resulting my hands having scratches and puncture wounds......fun but painful.

My cat is very territorial. He will hiss at any cat and picks a fight.

Before I adopted my cat, he has a history of being abused and stayed in boarding for a very long time.

your cat has a behaviorial issue prob brought about by his earlier experiences. sometimes putting him in a room with no human contact makes it worse.

i am no cat whisperer but maybe you can go through some of the past episodes from My Cat from Hell (youtube should have) and see if there are similar cases and how Cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy deal with it. you might get some inspiration.

no matter what. your cat needs human socialisation. it'll take a lot of time, persistence and patience. but worth it.

strange. i have 6 cats and none of them ever bothered to scratch my sofa (maybe once in a year max when they are really itchy finger but after i scold them, they will immediately stop).

can i suggest you check your scratching post again?

1) must never be wobbly. if wobbly, they won't use. this is very important. it's like us not wanting to sit on a wobbly chair. scared fall off.

2) scratching post must be large enough. those teeny weeny ones for $20 each are no good. get a cat condo if possible.

3) train your cats - very easy one. took me all of 5 min for each cat. bring them to the cat tree, mimic the scratching motion with your fingers. they will likely mimic you. if they don't, gently place their paws on the post and help them scratch. once they start scratching, praise them loudly. the positive reinforcement is very important. if they scratch feverishly after your praise, means success. And every time you see them scratching the post, praise them. it reinforces the good behavior. if they persist with bad behavior, don't shout at them. just quietly bring them to the scratching post and repeat the lesson.

good luck.

this colour is quite common. My 3rd one is this colour. she is a silver spotted mackerel BSH. But she passed away from oral cancer in 2016 at age 14. we were completely devastated. after 2 years, my wife has recovered 90% but still tears sometimes when she thinks of her. she was the wife's favorite.

Thanks for the tip. These 2 are our 1st pets ever. So good tips are always welcome.

Good luck. Actually cats can be the easiest pet to have. They are self trained, hard wired dna, very independent if you want them to be. Just a few basic things like food, litter box, cat tree, some crumpled pieces of paper for them to swat around, a couple of boxes to lounge in and we are set for life. Edited by Kxbc
